Individual private lessons for children and adults are taught by degreed and experienced professional faculty. Instruction is offered in the following instruments. If you do not see your instrument listed here, please inquire; we are happy to locate a qualified instructor.

Private Lesson Calendar 2008/09
(Each semester is 16 weeks in duration)
Fall semester
August 25 - December 13
Recital: Sunday, December 7
Make-up week: December 15-20
Hurricane make-up (if needed): January 5-10
Spring semester
January 12 - May 9
Recital: Sunday, May 3
Make-up week: May 11-16
Absence and make-up for private lessons
Students are allowed one make-up lesson, which is taken after week 16. Students forfeit other absences.
All teacher cancellations are made up.
Group Instruction for Children and Adults
Call the music office if you have interest in a class but cannot make the listed date because of a schedule conflict; class schedules may be adjusted where a need exists.
With the exception of Duo Lessons all group instruction runs in 7-week sessions. Start dates for each 7-week session are as follows:
Session I: September 1 – October 17
Session II: October 20 – December 12
Session III: January 12 - February 28
Session IV: March 2 - April 24

Bagpipes for Beginners
Tuesday, 7 - 8 p.m.
Age: 8 and above

Students will purchase a practice chanter for an additional $50. Bagpipes are not
required during the early stages of instruction.
